Chrome will be an office building for creative entrepreneurs located on Santa Fe Drive in Denver, south of the Santa Fe Arts District. Chrome developers solicited Neoera to design a funky, collaborative space for individuals who want to shed home offices and collaborate with like-minded individuals with diverse backgrounds. The first floor will be open for creatives to “touch down” during the day and special events and presentations will be held in the evening. The second floor will be the home to small offices and a large, green rooftop deck for communal congregation. The third floor will accommodate executive offices and will boast an executive conference room and lounge. Previously a chrome plating facility, the one story building needed extensive assistance in repairing damaged structural masonry walls and concrete floors. The goal of the project team was to preserve as much of the existing building as possible, so Neoera built two stories on the inside of three exterior walls. Daylight throws daylight into the building core through strategically-placed south facing windows, skylights and a green entrance courtyard.
